Introducing Simple Village Dog!
A quickie, since I never got around to Thought for the Day #2 yesterday (and probably won't today). Here she is: Anna Magdalena, fetchingly posed on the filthy loveseat she has claimed for her own. Tipping the scales at a massive 6 pounds, she is endlessly entertaining, yet never too busy to lick my face. Although she claims to be a Pomeranian, I think she may be trying to pull the fluff over my eyes. Pomeranian grandmother, maybe. Whatever she is, she's adorable and a wonderful companion. She's also the first victim of My New Digital Camera!!!

I am a cat person (though Berkeley has so many fine dogs I almost got converted to bi-species-ism during my time there) but this is one fine creature. Congrats on the camera! Still too poor for either that or an iPod on this end but I'm hopin' for the coming year. Enjoy and keep putting pictures here.

Anna Magdalena is adorable, and she does not like your casting aspersions on her ancestry. I know that because she communicated with me through the internet tubes, and you didn't even know that. She's one smart dog.
